Central-Asian Electric Power Corporation will support young professionals and students doing their major at energy development. Today, its branch - Akmola Electricity Distribution Company has signed an agreement on social partnership with 8 educational institutions of Astana. The agreement provides young students and specialists with paid internship in enterprises and scholarships. This project has been implemented in Pavlodar and North Kazakhstan regions and now spreads to Akmola region. According to a representative of the corporation, the dual education in areas such as electric power is of particular importance: the specialists are able to apply their knowledge in practice at the stage of training already.
Natalya KONSTANTINOVA, MANAGING DIRECTOR ON HUMAN RESOURCES, CENTRAL-ASIAN ELECTRIC POWER CORPORATION JSC:
There is a shortage of specialists in the energy sector. We understand that theoretical knowledge in schools is not sufficient; we're not quite satisfied with the quality of such knowledge. Therefore, we plan to let them acquire practical skills during the academic year and then hire them.
