SEVKAZENERGO, JSC

«SEVKAZENERGO» Joint-Stock Company (http://www.sevkazenergo.kz) is a vertically integrated company that includes all elements of energy supply in the North Kazakhstan region: generation, transmission, and sales of energy resources.

«SEVKAZENERGO» JSC was founded on July 13, 2009, as a result of the reorganization of «AccessEnergo PCHPР-2» LLP. It is the legal successor to all the rights and duties of that partnership, which was registered by the justice authorities of the North Kazakhstan region on January 19, 1999.

«SEVKAZENERGO» JSC unites the following enterprises:

  • Petropavlovsk CHPР-2
  • «North-Kazakhstan Regional Electric Distribution Company» JSC (electricity networks of the North Kazakhstan region)
  • «Petropavlovsk Heating Networks» LLP (heating networks of Petropavlovsk city)

The total installed electric capacity of its power plants is 541 MW, and the installed capacity for heat is 713 Gcal/h. The main raw material used is coal from the Ekibastuz basin.

«SEVKAZENERGO» JSC ensures the supply of heat to 167 177 citizens of the North Kazakhstan region, and heat to 80 729 citizens of Petropavlovsk city. The company also supplies heat and electricity to more than 5,500 industrial and agricultural enterprises in the region. Electricity generated by «SEVKAZENERGO» JSC is supplied to markets in the Northern, Central, Eastern, and Southern regions of Kazakhstan, as well as beyond its borders.

The length of the company’s electricity transmission lines is 13 029,77 km, and the total length of its heating grids is 210,36 km.

The company is actively implementing principles of corporate governance, optimizing business processes, and improving its practices in accordance with international standards in the fields of production, health protection, and social affairs.
