Pavlodar REDC JSC held a press tour to its facilities in Pavlodar on 2 August. Representatives of state bodies and journalists got acquainted with the investment program, including the construction, reconstruction, modernization and technical re-equipment of networks of 35 kV and above aimed to increase the reliability of energy supply in the region.

The participants of the press tour visited the construction sites of substation "Promyshlennaya", reconstructed transformer substation # 225, object of reconstruction "CHP-3 - Promyshlennaya", got acquainted with the progress of the project for replacement of bare wire with isolated self-supporting one.

"Ivestment program of Pavlodar REDC aims to improve the reliability of supply to our customers, - said General Director of PREDC JSC Fedor Bodruhin. - So, we were the first among the Kazakhstan power industry to use American technology - composite wire. This wire is able to pass twice as much power as compared with the conventional wire of the same cross section at the same time improving the mechanical and strength characteristics. Composite wire has a lower weight, higher strength, higher temperature resistance and sag resistance compared with existing analogues. Composite wire is more resistant to corrosion and high fatigue resistance and is environmentally friendly".
