As per the press service of “Sibenergomash” OJSC, it commenced implementation of the project of reconstruction, retooling and modernization of Petropavlovsk Heat-and-Power Plant No.2 within the framework of agreement concluded with “SevKazEnergo” JSC.

“Contract for supply of new boiler unit E-270-9,8-540KT and equipment for reconstruction of two new steam boilers BKZ 220-100 is one of the large-scale projects. Its implementation period is 1.5 years and the contract value is 767 million rubles” states the press-release of the company.

“Sibenergomash” OJSC specialists proposed a series of progressive solutions to the customer. Such solutions represent know-how, which allow for meeting the requirements of “SevKazEnergo” within the limited conditions of the current boiler cell.  As the result, steam generation capacity will be increased more than by 20% followed by the increase in the output of thermal and electric power necessary for power supply of expanding populated localities in the North Kazakhstan area.  These measures will also enhance reliability of boiler unit operation and mitigate harmful  effect on environment.  

“After reconstruction in accordance with the requirements of power generating company boilers production capacity will be increased from 220 to 270 steam tons/h, at that, nitrogen oxides emission will be in accordance with guaranteed level”, the press release further states.

“Successful fulfillment of the given order will be ensured by the available long-term experience in designing and the results of the latest development” – the press release quotes Director General of Sibenergomash“ OJSC – Konstantin Ryabov.  - Therefore, the customer will receive equipment satisfying the most severe requirements.  This approach preconditions successful development of our relations not only with energy sector companies of the Republic of Kazakhstan.  It strengthens our positions in the market of boiler equipment on the whole.”

“SevKazEnergo” JSC is the leading energy company in the North Kazakhstan area.   It supplies electric power to approximately 726 thousand inhabitants of the city of Petropavlovks and Petropavlovks area. It supplies heat to 131 thousand inhabitants and to over 3,600 industrial and agricultural enterprises of the regions.   Electric power generated by the company is supplied not only to North Kazakhstan area but also to Akmola and other areas of the Republic of Kazakhstan.  Certain amount of generated electric power is also supplied to South Ural railway lines of Russia.
