In July, the subsidiaries of CAEPCO JSC, PAVLODARENERGO JSC, and SEVKAZENERGO JSC have conducted final stages of research paper competition annually conducted in the Companies within the framework of PROFENERGY Project. The best intramural students of regional educational establishments, who major in power engineering industry, were admitted to the final defense of research papers. 

Selection consisted of two stages. In the final, the authors shall defended their papers before the competent commission.  The General Directors of the Companies headed the Commission for defense of research paper in candidacy for individual corporate studentship of PAVLODARENERGO JSC and SEVKAZENERGO JSC.   

We shall note that the participants of the competition touched in their researches the most pressing problems of the production operation.   

In PAVLODARENERGO JSC, four students received the individual corporate studentship according to the results of the competition. Among them, Ivan Silchenkov, student of the Innovation Eurasian University, and three students of the Ekibastuz College of the Engineering Technical Institute named after the Academician K. Satpayev -  Yevgeniya Saponenko, Daryn Kabidenov, and Maxim Yakushev. They will receive the individual studentship from PAVLODARENERGO JSC during the fourth year of study. The college students will receive the individual studentship amounting to seven MCI per month, and the IEU student – amounting to ten MCI per month.  

In SEVKAZENERGO JSC, two candidates for the individual studentship made it into the final; they are the students of the Petropavlovsk College of Railway Transport, majoring in “Power Supply”, Bogdan Tokarev and Meiram Kakunov.

The paper of Meiram devoted to a comparative analysis of different devices for arc flash protection of 6-10 kV cells scored better. By the way, in addition to the studentship Meiram Kakunov will work at SEVKAZENERGO JSC upon the graduation from the industry-specific establishment.

Other participants of the competition were encouraged with prizes.  

We shall note that the Competition of research papers was organized at the initiative of CAEPCO JSC in support of talented and active students, stimulation of their research activity.
