Ekibastuz Heating Networks production complex has been working since the beginning of the year on the modernization and reconstruction of the city's heating mains.

As part of the investment program of 2016–2020 due to depreciation charges this year the company plans to reconstruct thermal insulation on the main No. 1, with a length of 1030 meters. The amount of works will sum up KZT 78.1 million.

Polyurethane foam shells and new anti-corrosion protection materials will be used, during implementation the project. 

In addition, Ekibastuz Heating Networks is planning to reconstruct the roof (replacing the soft roof with a more progressive type - a hard gable roof) at pump station No. 3 with an area of 385 square meters and reconstruction of the heating network.

Reconstruction will reduce the cost of maintaining heating networks, improve the quality of heat supply to consumers, provide unhindered access to the equipment of heating networks for operation and regulation of the coolant (at the moment, consumers have an excessive heat load). Due to the use of pipes in polyurethane foam shells insulation, thermal losses will be reduced, the service life of pipelines will be increased.
