In Astana within frames of EXPO-2017 conference «Transforming the Energy Ecosystem» arranged by company General Electric took place. The discussion were participated by managers of largest energy companies of the region, representatives of state bodies and leading experts. 

Within the frames of the conference panel discussion “Environmentally friendly power utility” took place. The discussion was between representatives of Ministry of energy of the RK, “CAEPCO” JSC, “Samruk-Energy” JSC and “Eurasian energy corporation” JSC. The participants have discussed issues of coal generation in Kazakhstan, measures necessary for reducing harmful emissions of the power stations, possibilities of transmission to gas generation as one of the environmentally friendly alternative for coal as well as potential of development of renewables market and attracting investors for implementation of new projects in the power sphere of the region.
