Almaty hosted the 48th meeting of the CIS Electric Power Council with the participation of heads of energy agencies of member countries of the Council.

The meeting was opened by President of the CIS Electric Power Council, Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation A. Novak. Further participants of the meeting were greeted by welcome speech of Vice - Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan B. Dzhaksaliyev. The 48th meeting of the CIS Electric Power Council was attended by the delegation of management of electric power of the Azerbaijan Republic, the Republic of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Republic of Moldova, the Russian Federation, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan Republic.
