Power engineers of Petropavlovsk CHP-2 SEVKAZENERGO JSC are planning to comission turbine №5 in 2016. The installed electric capacity of CHP will increase from 479 up to 541 MW.
In 1969-1970 installed electric capacity of Petropavlovsk CHP-2 has reached its record indicator - 470 MW. The capacity was later reduced down to 405 MW, and since the 80s of the last century - decreased to 380 MW as a result of increasing consumption of heat by the city. In 1974, the station has reached its record levels of electricity generation - 3.1 bln kWh. In 2016, power engineers are planning to improve the achievement, what will be driven by the commissioning of turbine unit №5 after its complete replacement.
