June 21, 2016 VIII Republican Forum of Veterans of Energy was hosted in Pavlodar. The Forum has collected more than a hundred well-known industry professionals from Kazakhstan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan. The event was organized by the Kazakhstan Electricity Association with the support of PAVLODARENERGO JSC.

Each such event - views expressed on the development of the industry today and proposals to address actual problems. At the meeting in Pavlodar forum participants proposed to transfer a number of functions from the Committee on Regulation of Natural Monopolies and Protection of Competition to the Ministry of Energy. As for example, approval and coordination of regulations on the amount and norms of raw material consumption, materials, fuel and technical losses, as well as the annual cost estimates for the current and capital repairs. Also the veterans proposed to develop new approaches to tariff setting.
